Expo 2020 Dubai: Terra-The Sustainability Pavilion

Terra-The Sustainability Pavilion is a built environment with sustainability embedded in its DNA, telling the story of our relationship with nature, our obsession with consumerism and how we can change our everyday choices to reduce our environmental impact. Global authorities on sustainability collaborated with Expo 2020 and Grimshaw Architects, to make a unique experience and awe-inspiring building. Visitors will move through immersive spaces while experiencing the latest developments in behavioral psychology and storytelling techniques. Terra-The Sustainability Pavilion seeks to nurture our innate connection with the environment and inspire visitors—and readers—to live a more sustainable life.

Starting 1 October 2021 and ending 31 March 2022, Expo 2020 Dubai has brought together more than 200 participants and many millions of people from around the world to come together with a shared purpose towards building a cleaner, safer, healthier future. The first World Expo in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia region, and the largest event ever held in the Arab world, for 182 days, Expo 2020 Dubai has been a hive of activity, from performances and parades, immersive experiences, insightful talks, food, art, music, sport and architecture. With 192 country pavilions, three thematic pavilions—Opportunity, Mobility and Sustainability—and numerous awe-inspiring feats of architecture and craftsmanship at every turn, Expo 2020 Dubai offers limitless opportunities to learn, reflect, connect and collaborate for a better world.

To mark this, Assouline has collaborated with Expo 2020 Dubai on seven unique volumes dedicated to the event. Each book features original images, texts, exclusive interviews and insights into the architecture, inspiration and historical significance on display at Expo 2020 Dubai. * Open with Caution: Do not force the spine flat, especially on new books, to prevent damage to the binding.
* Avoid Food and Drinks: Keep books away from liquids and food to prevent accidental spills and stains.
* ⁠Less Spine Stress: Bookstands support the spine without forcing it flat, which helps prevent cracking or warping.
